Inhibited Triethylene Glycol
PROTOCOL DLT is an inhibited triethylene glycol formulation developed for natural gas dehydration systems. The incorporation of specialized corrosion inhibitors, coupled with their higher flash points, is what makes this product so well suited for controlling corrosion, scaling, and foaming in natural gas dehydration systems. PROTOCOL DLT (desiccant liquid technology) controls corrosion on piping, contact towers, atmospheric reboilers, still columns and heat exchangers. PROTOCOL DLT also provides additional buffering characteristics designed to enhance the glycol's pH, increases its reserve alkalinity, which means greater fluid stability and longer service life. The higher reserve alkalinity coupled with other proprietary inhibitors not only protects system metals but is instrumental in neutralizing acid gases in the regenerator (still column) thereby extending the life of the equipment most exposed to hot vapors during operation.
PROTOCOL DLT is compatible with most industrially inhibited triethylene glycol formulations developed for natural gas and air dehydration systems. This product can be safely commingled with existing fluids that have the same glycol base. However, we highly recommend taking a sample of the existing fluid and having it analyzed prior to introducing the new fluid.
