Analytical Services:
Thermal Fluid Technologies offers a unique and comprehensive coolant testing program for our customers. The advantages of this service is of great importance. Through regular coolant testing you can rest assured that your coolant is operating at peak efficiency and optimum corrosion protection.
How it works: After your order is received the customer service department will establish a data file for your account. Then every 6 months from that date you will receive written correspondence advising you that a sample of your fluid is to be sent to our laboratory for fluid evaluation (we supply you with the bottles and labels). Once our chemists receive the sample(s) we will analyze the fluid and provide you with recommendations designed to maximize the service life of your coolant. Our chemists even calculate the amount of glycol or water to add (if required) to ensure that the fluid continues to meet your original specification for freeze, burst and boil protection. Our chemists will perform the following tests on each sample we receive:
Glycol Type - Volume % - Freeze Point
pH - Reserve Alkalinity - Color - Clarity
Degradation Products (iron, copper, zinc, etc.)
Scales Promoters (magnesium, calcium, etc.)
Contaminants (oil, silica, lead, arsenic, etc.)
Corrosives (acids, chloride, sulfate, organic esters, etc.)
Inhibitors Levels (proper concentration and balance)
